The Hard Road Out

A gripping and horrifying story of growing up in North Korea. The writing is clear and simple, almost mundane at times. Lots of small details and indiviual stories, which is the sort of thing I enjoy in this sort of book. It’s not an easy read, but I learnt a lot from it.
